Another disappointing result today saw AFC Crewe fall to a tight 1-0 home loss to rivals AFC Alsager. On a day where the highlight may have been seeing Chairman Liam cover the clubhouse in fizzy drinks, an eighth game without a win was a sorry way to end a night where we created precious few chances.

This game marks our 11th defeat of the season, and sees us in 10th in the table with two games remaining. We can finish as high as 8th, and no lower than 11th; most promoted clubs would be very happy with a mid-table finish, and we have had many good moments throughout the season.

And so, it's on to the next game, at home to 4th-placed Audley in three days' time. We go again.
